It’s safe to say that Black Sherif has mastered the subtle art of dictating the pace at which he feeds fans with hits as he has set the internet ablaze with a freestyle to an unreleased song.

Fans of Black Sherif have given high ratings to a freestyle performance of one of his unreleased songs.

Tweeps who have retweeted the 58-second video multiple times commended the young rapper for singing with so much passion on matters that his fans can relate to. For this reason, they tipped him to record yet another hit song.

The comments, mostly positive feedback from Twitter users, earned him a top spot on Monday’s trends after rapper Sarkodie who reports say has an upcoming song with American rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye.

Today Saturday, 27 August, 2022, the controversial Dancehall star put on his Snapchat Story, a message that praises Burna Boy’s work, salutes his success and partly reads like an attempt at reconciliation with the Afro-fusion star.

In 2017, on the ‘Hosanna’ hit song, Shatta and Burna’s friendship came to public notice.

Shatta Wale’s praise for Burna Boy comes days after pictures of his visit paid to another Nigerian music star, Rudeboy of P-Square, in the States, showed up on social media.

These actions follow the ‘On God’ hitmaker’s announcement of his impending ‘Nigeria Media Tour’, contrary to his famed 2021 words, “I don’t need Nigeria promotion.”

Akpini Youth Summit 2023

Hello Kpando! Are you ready!

Happening in 2023 is the Akpini Youth Summit.

This is just not an event but a youth blueprint that promises to be the biggest platform for young people, willing to change the narrative of Akpini through our collective and impactful public engagement of ideas and capacity building around the issues that affect the young people of Kpando.

We can’t afford to fail our generation, that’s why we must come together and figure out a workable solution that can help promote and develop our collective future bargain.

The time is now, the future is here,

Since the inception of our Societies, sharing has been a part of us through communal activities, responsibilities, values, and core morals.

In recent times society has been set apart on basis of constructed notions on singular plights and woes. This disconnect where life has become an “each man for himself ” thing, has amounted to slow progress in our personal lives. The cause-effect, unfortunately, plagues society most since society is nothing without the people. Until we understand that responsibility is shared, society will continue to suffer the detrimental consequences of our self-centered decisions. “I am because you are “ a simple yet powerful map line that has been set to align us on the path to unity and societal growth.

Can we just reset and rethink to bring back the essence or idea of sharing, carrying others along, and not living no one behind even if people are not the best at what they do and have a long path of growth and development to go - Hence the coined statement: ”KPORNU KAKE NA NA NORVI” the collective responsibility to share knowledge and values.

It is why the birth of a carefully crafted program, not an event, AKPINI YOUTH SUMMIT for the youth both home and away of Kpando and its environs, coming together to build a growth shared interest from which society can benefit.

My mother forced me to kill my brother for money rituals – Sakawa boy

My mother forced me to kill my brother for money rituals - Sakawa boy

Afeez Olalere Sakawa boy, a suspected yahoo boy, was detained by the Lagos state police command for reportedly killing his younger brother for a money rituals.

While being paraded, the 32-year-old confessed to the crime, claiming that his mother had begged him to do it.

His mother allegedly urged him to murder his younger brother after a herbalist she took him to informed them that he needed to “sacrifice one life, and that person had to be a sibling to him.”

He said that his 21-year-old brother was given poison and died 20 minutes after ingesting it.

He went on to say that they removed the body parts they needed while wrapping and transporting his remains to the mortuary.

His full statement reads:

“My mother took me to a herbalist who told me if I want to be successful in the yahoo business, I will have to sacrifice one life and that person must be a sibling to me.”

“The things he would need to prepare a concoction with are his thumbs, his hair, fingers and a passport photograph. So, we went back home and thought about it, then my mother suggested that we use my younger brother since he is just 21 years old.

“She also brought the poison which we gave him to eat. He died within 20minutes after consuming the food. I was the one who cut out the body parts needed. We then wrapped his dead body and headed to the mortuary.”

Ghana’s cherished songwriter, Martin King Arthur, well known as Kofi Kinaata has revealed solutions to the Ghana/Nigeria music banter & hinted on his debut album release.

He also added his voice to the ongoing fracas between the Ghanaian music industry and their Nigerian counterparts over lack of support.

It would be vividly recalled that Shatta Wale took to the stage at his #FreedomWaveConcert at the Accra Sports Stadium to lambast Nigerians over the support they have refused to give Ghanaian musicians despite the fact that they have gained so much love and attention from Ghanaians.

In a series of tweets, Shatta Wale pored down his frustration over the fact that most Nigerian musicians have refused to co-headline shows with them in their country just as Ghanaian musicians have been doing for them.

His submissions were meted with mixed reactions from both Ghanaians and Nigerians.

In reaction to that, Kofi Kinaata stated that Nigerians are not to be blamed for thriving in their country and in Ghana as well with their music because Ghanaians have allowed it to be so, hence they should put a stop to the blame game.

According to him, Nigerians have devised a strategy to support their music and promote it to the top before promoting any song from any musician from any other country.

He intimated that despite the fact that Nigeria’s population is bigger than that of Ghana, they still aim at expanding their territories in Ghana, but they have been successful because Ghanaians allowed it to be so.

In an interview on BTM Afrika with NY DJ, Kofi Kinaata explained that Ghanaians can start by fixing the system by supporting their own before promoting others because Nigeria has adopted the same strategy, hence the reason for the enormous success on the global market when it comes to music.

Also, after all the hit songs and domination, it never occurred to anyone that the four-time songwriter of the year at the VGMAs, Martin King Arthur, well known as Kofi Kinaata has not released any album ever since he emerged into the scene.

During an interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika, Kofi Kinaata intimated that the Ghanaian ways of treating albums are very displeasing and disheartening, thus his reason for not releasing an album yet even though he has been in the scene for quite a long time.

According to him, musicians drop bangers on albums they release yet Ghanaians who have developed a poor listening attitude would sleep on the album by just listening to the songs without understanding the message.

He stated that his weapon has always been his lyrics, hence he intends to have his fans understand every word he puts across before moving to the next song.

However, Kofi Kinaata revealed his intentions to bless our speakers with his first album anytime since he claims Ghanaians have improved on their listening attitudes

During an interview on Citi TV, Kuami Eugene interrupted KiDi’s submission to go hard on struggling artistes within the Ghana Music industry.

He has given an honest opinion to underground musicians struggling in their ghettos to make hits after he was approached for a word of advice.

According to the Lynx Entertainment signee who will be co-headline a concert at the Indigo at the O2 with his colleague, Kidi stated that it is sometimes not necessary to continue doing music after all efforts to gain attention and make hits have proved abortive.

Speaking in an interview on Citi TV, the “Obiato” hitmaker stated that it is sometimes needed to throw in the towel if music is not working out as planned.

Kuami Eugene who was signed on Lynx Entertainment record label right after MTN Hitmaker stated that sometimes, underground musicians have to quit doing music because it is not their talent.

Beach Trip Must-Haves For DJs and Style

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I recently took a beach trip with my siblings! We had such a great time and it reminded me how much I love the beach. It’s something about just laying out on the beach, soaking up the sun and listening to the water that just brings me so many good vibes! If you are planning a beach trip soon, here’s a list of some must-haves!

Shop the Beach Essentials

What you Should Bring

A Tent

I’ve been to the beach many times, but never thought about bringing a tent until now. I tell you this was the best decision we could have made for our beach trip! I was worried that we might have some difficulty putting this up, but just like the reviews said the set up process was fairly easy. We also had the best tent out there! I loved the color of this one and all the mesh window details it had. It was so relaxing to sit in there and have a little bit of privacy and shading from the sun.

A Fan

I loved that this fan came in multiple colors, including pink! Also, for it to be a mini fan it was still pretty powerful. I wrapped it on a hook that was on our tent and it hung from there.

A Cooler

You have to stay hydrated if you plan to spend some time at the beach so a cooler is definitely a must-have! There are so many cute options out there too.

A Beach Towel

I didn’t get in the water much because I prefer to lounge on the beach more so. I did bring a beach towel along with me though and used it as a pillow whenever I was laying down, haha. If you buy a tent like the one I have, a beach towel isn’t really needed to lay down in the tent because the tent has a lining at the bottom!

I always love when I can find a black-owned product! Recently I was seeing posts about this Black Girl Sunscreen and I wanted to try it. So happy I did because it’s good stuff! It soaks right into your skin and doesn’t leave any of that white residue that some other sunscreens do.

Bluetooth Speaker

Listening to music while on the beach was a great touch! We were vibing for a while on the beach to the music that played from my sister’s Bluetooth speaker and it made the beach experience that more fun. Just remember to keep the volume down so that others can enjoy their beach day as well!

What you Should Style

A Swimsuit

Shop my Beach Style

This is a duh must-have, but I wanted to recommend going bold and having fun with your swimsuit selections. Either go bold with the color like I did with the neon fuchsia colored bathing suit or go neutral with cute details like this all black option with ruffle sleeves. If you are looking for beach outfit inspiration, you can check out my reel where I gave four beach outfit ideas!

A Cover Up

Cover ups are my favorite because I’m not one to walk around on the boardwalk in my bathing suit, plus they make your swimsuit instantly turn into an outfit! I find the midi skirt and pants options to be so fun! The crochet midi skirt and crinkle pants I wore were the perfect fit and they were so stylish.

A Hat and/or Sunglasses

I think this was the first time I brought a hat with me to the beach. I’m happy that I brought my boater hat along because not only was it stylish, but it helped shield the sun from my face. I will suggest to check the weather to make sure it’s not a windy day if you plan to wear a hat. I failed to do that one day and my hat almost flew away, *sigh* good times.

As far as sunglasses, this is a summer essential in general. But on the beach they are even more important. I’m really into round sunglasses at the moment! This style was all that I brought with me on this trip.

Comfortable Sandals

I’m all about comfort when I go to the beach! So it’s only right that I wear a comfy sandal. A couple of years ago I bought these rose gold sandals from Target and they are the best! The sandals come in other colors too and are super cute!

What’s your favorite beach essential?
